On April, 21th the delegation from Lithuania represented by Martynas Martsenkevichyus, the Head of Vilnius Center of Psychiatric Health, Emilys Subata, Director of Vilnius Addiction Research Center, Arvydas Skorupskas, ex-adviser to the Minister of Health of the Republic of Lithuania and Laurinas Bukelskis, the Head of Acute Psychiatric Unit of Vilnius Center of Psychiatric Health paid a working visit to Dnipro.
That was the final visit within the two-year project on Aid for Ukrainian Eastern Regions in reforming the system of mental healthcare and pursuing the reformation of the psychosocial rehabilitation sector.
Under the auspices of Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Lithuania in Dnipro it was organized the series of business and administrative appointments.
During the visit, the delegation became acquainted with two hospitals, which are among the most successful ones that are directly involved in the programme, to see the way they work with previously obtained knowledge and skills.

“The project is unique in its European approach, because the healthcare sphere is being reformed in an integrated manner and immediately in such three directions as "bio-psycho-social” assistance. Our project supported by the Government of Lithuania has become the real example of decommunisation," the ex-adviser to the Minister of Health of the Republic of Lithuania Arvydas Skorupskas said.
The meeting with the RSA’s representatives was referred to the main development phase, implementation and project’s achievements.
Representatives of the Republic of Lithuania have suggested the order of business for 2017-2018.
The Head of the Department of Health of Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, Nataliya Budyak said: " The wealth of knowledge and experience, that our medical staff have received, are the main idea, but it’s also important to set up our own system of psychosocial rehabilitation, which will provide the qualified assistance not only to Ukrainian soldiers, but also to citizens of other countries".
Volodymyr Yurchenko, the Deputy Head of Dnipropetrovsk RSA awarded some letters of gratitude to the delegation for the personal contribution to the project.
