Vilnius Gymnasium hosts the children from East Ukraine for studying

As it was reported earlier Lithuanian Republic addressed to Ukraine with readiness to host  the children of 13-16 years old from Donetsk and Lugansk regions suffered in ATO zone. On October 27th seven schoolchildren which had resettled to Dniepropetrovsk with the teacher of Ukrainian language and literature went to Vilnius Lithuanian House (International gymnasium) for free studying and accommodation.  Another part of the students  from different regions of Ukraine will departed to Lithuania soon.

Children’s transfer on the route Dniepropetrovsk-Kyiv-Vilnius was made with the assistance of the Honorary consulate of Lithuania in Dniepropetrovsk  and their responsible representative Anna Podlesnaya. The group of children was greeted by the Director of Vilnius Lithuanian House Gintautas Rudsinskas and Lithuanian government’s representatives.

According to the last information the schoolchildren happily settled at the gymnasium’s hostel. The educational program of the Ukrainian language and literature will be continued by Ukrainian teacher and  Lithuanian side is procuring their accommodation and salary as well.  After finishing the academic year the students will be provided to spend their summer holidays in Lithuania Republic.

Lithuania is planed to assign one more money tranche for the similar program but for the bigger group of Ukrainian children.
