December 17, 2015 at Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Lithuania in Dnipropetrovsk was held the meeting between the head of institution and the lithuanian diaspora.
During the meeting they discussed the results of 2015 and measures for the further development of Ukrainian-Lithuanian cooperation for the next year.
It was a regular meeting with the purpose to integrate the Lithuanians and ensure close cooperation with the consular office in popularizing Lithuania image in Ukraine. Vitaly Pivnyak encouraged Lithuanian community to more frequent contacts, provided clarification of many cases in organizational issues, which lithuanian community’s members appealed to their leaders and he presented the proposals for promotional activities for the next year.

During the conversation the sides discussed relevant cooperation issues between the consulate and diaspora, particularly in terms of engagement members of the community to implementation a number of humanitarian initiatives and visits of foreigners in our region, cooperation in cultural and educational spheres as well as preparation for the Сelebration of the Days of Lithuanian in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Representatives of the Lithuanian community thanked for continued focus to resolving urgent community’s issues. They were grateful for the promotion of bilateral business contacts, interregional cooperation, carrying out of cultural and outreach activities and also they were grateful for protection of Lithuanian citizens’ rights and interests within the territory of the consular district.
