On November 23, 2017, there was held the meeting of the head of Lithuanian’s Honorary consulate in Dnipro with outstanding Lithuanian culture figures, devoted friends to Lithuanian Embassy to Ukraine and Honorary Consulate, one of the brightest representatives of the Lithuanian diaspora in our region, and leaders of Kamyanske Academy of Arts – Albert and Henrietta Rozhe. Oleksiy Laz`ko, Founder of Institute “Ukrainika” also met with Honorary Consul.
During the meeting the participants discussed the results of work in 2017 and measures for the further development of Ukrainian-Lithuanian cooperation. The conversation was held in the context of involving Rozhe’s family and their performance ensemble in implementing a number of initiatives in the cultural sphere that are planned next year on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Lithuanian State Recovery Day.
Honorary Consul has confirmed his willingness to fully support the proposals from Albert and Henrietta. So, it was agreed to take part in the "Skambus Saltinelis" festival of Ukrainian-Lithuanian music, which began on November 22, 2017, and will continue until February 2, 2018.
"Our region is ahead thanks to such talented people like you and just such people should build the future of Ukrainian-Lithuanian relations," – said Vitaliy Pivnyak.
At the end of the meeting, Vitaliy Pivnyak encouraged Albert and Henrietta Rozhe to meet each other more frequent and have closer cooperation.
