On October 24, 2018, the head of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Lithuania in Dnipro welcomed the delegation of some scientists and students of National Technical University Dnipro Polytechnic and Vilnius Gediminas Technical University. The Lithuanian scientists are now in Dnipro within the framework of the project for the preparation of the Ukrainian-Lithuanian team of young social entrepreneurs, funded by Ukrainian-Lithuanian Council of Youth Exchange under the Ministry of Youth and Sport of Ukraine.
During the working visit, Vitaliy Pivnyak was informed about the cultural and educational projects of Ukrainian-Lithuanian cooperation which are already being implemented and which are planned to be implemented by the scientists of the NTU and the Lithuanian University.
It was announced that NTU Dnipro Polytechnic launched a double diploma programme, Investment Economics, between the Financial and Economic faculty of NTU DP and the Faculty of Economics and Management of the VGTU. In addition, NTU Dnipro Polytechnic opened the specialty “International relations, public communications and regional studios” for which the search for a partner in the Republic of Lithuania is presently underway to launch the double diploma programme.
Conducting such autumn meetings has become a good tradition for the Honorary Consulate. Vitaliy Pivnyak assured that he would continue to support the projects of NTU Dnipro Polytechnic in order to promote the development of Ukrainian-Lithuanian scientific projects.

The Consul presented the book "Lithuanians of Dnipropetrovsk region: history and modern times" to the delegations of both universities. In return, universities presented their own branded souvenirs.
