On October 24th, of the current year a delegation from Lithuania headed by Lilia Zhynyenye, Head of bilateral cooperation office of Development Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania visited Dnipropetrovsk region on a working trip.
This is the third bidirectional meeting aiming to assess the results of implementation of current project on Aid for Ukrainian Eastern Regions in reforming the system of mental healthcare and pursuing the reformation of the psychosocial rehabilitation sector, in particular,the results of the educational programme’s embodiment for medical staff of Dnipropetrovsk and Poltava regions, which was initiated jointly by the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Lithuania and the Honorary consulate of the Republic of Lithuania in Dnipro.
Honorary Consulate of Lithuania in Dnipro has arranged a meeting of Lithuanian diplomats and leadership of Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration upon an initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania. The meeting was devoted to discussion the progress of the project and its first achievement in the current period and coordination of efforts for further work in 2017.
During the visit, the delegation became acquainted with two hospitals, which are successful among several other hospitals that are directly involved in the programme, where the results of previously obtained knowledge and skills were demonstrated to Lithuanian experts in practice.
According to the head of the delegation, Mrs. Zhynyenye, Ukrainian and Lithuanian parties have reached high level of interstate cooperation, particularly in the framework of this project, which is the result of the desire and efforts of local health care professional to reform psychosocial rehabilitation sector by European standards and to reach a new, high-quality service.
