June 25, 2014 in the Republic of Lithuania, city Akmene will held a meeting of the Association of Local Democracy Agencies.
Dniepropetrovsk will be presented as the region at this meeting by the Deputy Chairman of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council of executive bodies-Peregudov Vladimir.
The District Municipality of Akmene city expressed its position to partnership of Local Democracy Agencies of Dniepropetrovsk and has initiated the necessary formal procedures for resolving political and financial issues associated with this process. City Hall in Akmene also initiated the meeting with the participation of identified and potential partners of Local Democracy Agencies of Dniepropetrovsk, namely representatives of Dnipropetrovsk region, Lower Silesia Province (Poland), Municipality of Akmene United Nations Development Programme, the Association of Local Democracy Agencies and Alsace region (France).
The purpose of the meeting is to gain a clearer understanding of the situation in Ukraine, coordination of joint efforts to follow up and discuss the next steps of cooperation on the establishment of the Local Democracy Agency in Dniepropetrovsk.
The creation of Local Democracy Agencies of Dniepropetrovsk should joint effort to promote the development of local democracy in he nearest future.
