On September 27-28, 2014, the 5 th International festival of cultures “Rudenines” will be held in Visaginas city, Lithuania. The festival’s aim is to spread international cultural communication, combine different genres of folk artists, promote the social creativity of different national cultures.
In Visaginas city there are more than 40 nationalities. That’s why “Rudenines” is a traditional event intended for young people as well as for adults and public of local regions. To participate in the festival the groups are coming from the ethnic regions of Lithuania and abroad. The festival program is quite impressive: folk dancing and music, folk and ethnic kaleidoscope which will be taking place during the whole day. The visitors have opportunity to visit the craft fair and see the gala- concert in the evening.
This year the special attention is paid to Ukrainian art representatives. The festival “Rudenines” is planning to hold the days of Ukrainian culture dedicated to 200 anniversary of Taras Shevchenko. Ukraine will be represented by masters of Petrykivka decorative painting. The participants and guests of the festival will have opportunity to see live how to create masterpieces of famous Petrykivka painting and take the work-shops. The masters of Petrykivka painting are expected to be seen in Vilnua at Lithuanian art school named for M. K.Čiurlionis. They will spend 2 more days for work-shops at Art school for Lithuanian children. The tour of participants is carried out with the help of the Honorary Consul of Lithuania Republic in Dniepropetrovsk- Vitaliy Pivnyak.
