On November 14, 2017, the head of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Lithuania in Dnipro welcomed the delegation of scientists from the National Mining University.
During the working visit, Vitaliy Pivnyak was informed about the cultural and educational projects of Ukrainian-Lithuanian cooperation, which are already being implemented. Then there was discussed those ones, which are planned to be implemented by scientists from NMU and some Lithuanian universities.
It was announced that visits to Vilnius Gediminas Technical University are planned in order to set up academic and scientific relations as well as the visit to Kaunas and Trakai is to participate in the "Involvement" project, funded by the European Union programme ERASMUS + (18-26.11.2017). The project is devoted to the formation of a tolerant youth society based on European values of gender, racial and religious inclusion.

The Honorary Consul assured that the strong motivation, the desire to widen own horizons and high professionalism are the key factors for becoming a successful and developed country. The consulate will continue to support NMU’s projects in order to promote the development of Ukrainian-Lithuanian scientific projects.
