On April 11, 2018, the delegation of the Lithuanian Republic headed by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania Saulius Skvernyalis paid a working visit to Ukraine.
The Head of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania arrived at Dnipro international airport by a special flight, then he made towards Donetsk region (the cities of Kramatorsk and Avdiyivka).
The purpose of the visit was the intention of Saulius Skvernjalis to get first-hand view of measures to liquidate Donbass military operation aftermaths and meet with the leadership of Kiev-controlled militarry-civil administration of Donetsk region.

The head of the Lithuanian Government visited ambulance station in Avdiyivka, Donetsk region, renovated by Lithuania’s fund and also opened a kid’s space built on the funds collected by Lithuanian volunteers. The Prime Minister of Lithuania also met with local residents and donated charitable assistance to the military from the Government of Lithuania and Blue/Yellow organization.

On April 12, a working meeting of the Heads of Government of Ukraine and the Republic of Lithuania is scheduled. That same day, Saulius Skvernyalis is to carry negotiation with the President of Ukraine, attend opening of Kiev Security Forum, as well as a session of Ukrainian, Lithuanian and Moldovan prime ministers entitled “Regional Cooperation: Integration of Common Goals.”
As always, the Lithuanian side assured that Lithuania firmly supported the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
