Lithuania does not leave Ukraine in trouble

On Friday, September 12,  Attaché of the Republic of Lithuania Mindaugas Kviklis arrived to Dniepropetrovsk  for the purpose to coordinate the dispatch of military aircraft with  Ukrainian wounded to Lithuania.

Lithuanian military doctors Saulius Greviskis and Jolanta Ciuplinskiene visited the regional hospital Mechnikov and eximined  the affected soldiers, medical documents to determine their injury .  On Saturday  the13 th of September the military plane landed in Dniepropetrovsk to take on board 14 wounded who were transported for treatment to Lithuania. At the airport the wounded accompanied by representatives of Region Administration Sviatoslav Oleinik, Boris Treyherman ,Command  of Battalion,, Dnipro “, colleagues and relatives. Honorary Consul Vitaly Pivnyak wished each injured a speedy recovery and  imminent return home.

  Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Lithuania in Dniepropetrovsk would like to thank the Lithuanian government  and  Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Lithuania in Ukraine Mr. Petras Vaytyekunasu for the opportunity to undergo ukrainian wounded  for treatment and rehabilitation in a friendly country. We express our gratitude to all those who worked on the preparation for transportation the wounded  and collecting documents and visas.

Hopefully the next humanitarian and medical assistance to Ukraine will be held by the Ministry of Defence according to  agreements  between Lithuanian and Ukrainian governments.
