On September 22, 2017, the Honorary Consul of Lithuanian Republic in Dnipro Vitaliy Pivnyak was presented the President's Award "For humanitarian participation in the anti-terrorist operation".
The award was presented by Yurchenko V., the deputy head of Dnipropetrovsk RSA.
Lithuanian Government has four years of a laborious work and systematic assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine to its credit.
With the assistance of the Honorary Consul, many projects were implemented on the territory of Dnipropetrovsk region, among which are the rehabilitation of 115 ATO soldiers in Druskininkai (Lithuania), providing decent and safe conditions for studying in the Lithuanian gymnasium for the 45 children who suffered from military actions in the east of Ukraine, intensive training of 20 medical specialists in Vilnius and much more.
"Throughout this period of time, diversified work was carried out, we are grateful for the high appreciation of our efforts for the sake of the solution of the urgent problems associated with hostilities in the east of Ukraine. But we will not stop there, we have already planned a lot of projects for the future. "- Vitaliy Pivnyak said.
