On January 9, 2015 the first four participants of military actions in ATO after difficult operations in Dniepropetrovsk Regional Hospital named after Mechnikov have been departured from Kyiv to Vilnius for specialize course of the rehabilitation. With the support of the Honorary Consulate of Lithuania in Dniepropetrovsk, the State Regional Administration in Dniepropetrovsk and the directory of the Hospital named after Mechnikov the militants were transferred from Dniepropetrovsk to Kyiv, where they have been met by Chargé d'affaires of the Lithuania to Ukraine Mr. Gvidas Kerusauskas and Defense Attache Mindaugas Kviklys.
The soldiers will stay in the friendly state until the complete recovery.
Under the agreements which were achieved during the official visit of President of Lithuania Daliya Gribauskayte to Ukraine, the Lithuanian government began to realize the aid of the hosting 50 Ukrainian militants for the rehabilitation, who were wounded due to the military events in ATO zone. It is important to mention that the Lithuanian side will host four militants with the different degrees of damage every month since January 2015.
