A long time passed since the day of events at the Vilnius TV Tower and television center in 1991. A lot of things have changed since then both in Lithuania, Ukraine and in whole Europe. But it is important to note a strong determination and patriotism of the Lithuanians who have defended the right to sovereignty.
13th,January is a Commemoration Day of those who fought for Lithuania’s freedom, which cost 14 patriots their lives sacrificed on the altar of their Motherland.
Today Lithuania is an example of the state with a solid position in the world dialogue aimed to the peaceful settlement of the conflict in the east of Ukraine.
It is to be recalled that in the difficult time for Ukraine, after the events of the Revolution of Dignity, Lithuania gave us a helping hand. With the support of the government of the Republic of Lithuania and the direct participation of the Honorary Consulate of Lithuania in Dnipro around 100 ATO soldiers have rehabilitated in Druskininkai (Lithuania).
