Recently we have celebrated the 13th anniversary of Lithuanian business-cultural center “Gintaras”. The hottest memoirs were concerning how it was going on, who were the first members and what was the precede of the official creation of Lithuanians’ association in Dniepropetrovsk region. There were Lithuanian songs and jokes. All presenters have recognized that the cornerstone of our community was issues, arrangements and dreams, which were supporting by the men and relatives far from Motherland. Dniepropetrovsk region is dear to Lithuanians as the native house, the circle of friends, the city of joint work and joint future. May it be peaceful and inspired.
Lithuanian friends from Zaporizhya community have greeted us with the holiday. And it was especially pleasant because 15 years ago several members of Dniepropetrovsk community were the members of Zaporizhya community(on June, 2015 Zaporizhya association turns 20 years). On the dates of this celebration will held the Festival of Lithuanian communities’ song and dance for 20th Lithuanian community anniversary in “the city beyond thresholds” after 5 years of interruption. We will go there and take part at the Festival.
