On July 15, 2021, Vitaliy Pivnyak took part in the meeting of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba with the foreign Honorary Consuls in Ukraine. The meeting was organized to discuss priorities, goals and issues in the context of establishing more systematic cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and foreign honorary consulates accredited in Ukraine.
During the meeting, the Minister outlined the priorities of Ukraine’s foreign policy in the economic sphere, emphasizing that Ukraine is going to use all opportunities to develop mutually beneficial relations with traditional partners – the EU and other countries.
Among other things, Dmytro Kuleba informed the participants of the meeting about the benefits and new opportunities that opened up after the 4th International Conference on Reforms in Ukraine (held in the Republic of Lithuania on July 6-9, 2021).
“The Ukrainian side considers the institution of honorary consuls of foreign states as an important and integral component of intensifying interstate dialogue at various levels, the potential of which contributes to the development of trade, economic, cultural, scientific, tourist and other ties of Ukraine with foreign states,” the Foreign Minister said in his speech.
During the meeting, the Minister had an informal meeting with the heads of honorary consulates of foreign countries in Ukraine.
