On July 26, 2020, the representatives of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Lithuania in Dnipro welcomed 6th groups of schoolchildren at home who studied in Vilnius Lithuanian`s House according to the government programme.

At the invitation of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Lithuania, the children affected by the ongoing hostilities in eastern Ukraine were able to study carefree at a European international gymnasium.

As for each of us, the COVID-19 pandemic has made adjustments to the normal life of the class. From April 2020, the Ukrainian class of the gymnasium was sent to quarantine, and on-line education was organized for children. In June, they were able to spend their summer vacations in Lithuanian camps.

The programme of visit is realized with the full financial support of the Lithuanian government. This project has already changed the lives of 90 children, who at such a young age got to know what the war was by themselves.

This project became possible by the cooperation of the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Ukraine, the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Lithuania in Dnipro, the Ministry of Education of Lithuania, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania and Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration.
