CEREMONIAL PRESENTATION OF ECONOMICS

On January 27, 2020, a ceremonial presentation of economics textbooks developed by Lithuanian Free Market Center took place. Vitaliy Pivnyak handed 40 copies of Economics manuals to students of 8th grade of the Ukrainian-American Lyceum of National Technical University "Dnipro Polytechnic". Such an event was made possible due to initiative and charitable support of Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Lithuania in Dnipro, which had given its assistance to Economics at School Ukrainian project of Lithuanian origin.

Bendukidze Free Market Center's Economics at School educational project, based on Economics in 31 Hours (Lithuania) the new generation of manual, awarded by the London Book Fair, is being implemented to fulfill Ukraine's economic potential through recommendations, research and educational programmes. The aim of the project is to provide both students with a quality, up-to-date and interactive textbook on economics, and teachers with teaching materials and trainings that will become a model for teaching economics at school. The guide consists of 28 lessons that explain economics as an integral part of the wider social sphere, also as a space for individual choice and collaboration between people, rather than a collection of abstract, autonomous processes. All topics are discussed from a social, civic and ethical perspective, helping to understand important relationships and their impact on improving social well-being and self-fulfillment.

“The Honorary Consulate, on its part, is doing everything possible for the effective functioning of scientific projects between Dnipropetrovsk region and the Republic of Lithuania. The interaction of Dnipro Polytechnic with Lithuanian organizations and institutions is systematic. Now the lyceum students and teachers will have the opportunity to improve their knowledge of the economy with the help of the editions presented today,” Vitaliy Pivnyak said.
